Muslims are mostly using two hashtags to protest a drawing of the Prophet Muhammad on the cover of Charlie Hebdo
After a beginning low response when the spread picture was uncovered, a few discussions have burst into flames on social networking as the magazine went marked down Wednesday. #whoismuhammad? has been imparted more than 167,000 times and the numbers are as yet climbing. It was begun by a Twitter client called @spanishkash.
"I was nearly tears," he says, after he saw the picture of Muhammad on the front of Charlie Hebdo's most recent release. He's urging supporters to change their symbol to the Prophet's name in Arabic. While pictures of Muhammad are forbidden in Islam, imaginative representations of the letters making up his name are satisfactory.
